Boston-area soprano Ruth Hartt has been a featured soloist with the Concord Chorus and the Masterworks Chorale in such works as Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Brahms' German Requiem, Durante's Magnificat, and Mendelssohn's Elijah. Her operatic roles include Celidora in Mozart's L'oca del Cairo with PORTOpera's Maine's Emerging Artists apprenticeship program; Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni, the title role in Puccini's Suor Angelica, and Cherubino in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro.
Ms. Hartt, a Maine native, was a 1st place winner at the Maine NATS Song & Aria competition in 2008 and a semifinalist in the 2007 Boston NATS competition. She was a 1st place winner of the Finger Lakes Region NATS competition in 2000, and won 3rd place in the Emily K. Rand Competition (Portland Rossini Club) that same year. Upcoming performances include Rossini's La Cenerentola with Opera del West.
